What we did - ValueXPA's Approach
To start with we examined the Chart of Accounts to ensure that transactions are recorded in the right place and recommended necessary changes to get an accurate view of financial performance. To streamline the process of updating the client's financials on a regular basis, we have developed a customized template that automates this task. Initially, we gathered benchmarking data from publicly available sources and consolidated it, which presented a notable challenge. Thereafter, we came up with a modelling template that captures the relevant financial data. We retrieved the necessary statements directly from the client's portal, specifically from Xero, which is the accounting software they utilize. We deployed an innovative method by using low-code tools to transform accounting data from books to make it compliant with financial models. Utilizing this automated approach ensured accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in updating their financial information.
Financial modelling
We have developed a comprehensive financial model that accurately represents Client's financial position for the specified quarterly period. This will involve analyzing historical financial data, forecasting future revenues and expenses, and projecting cash flows, balance sheets, and income statements. We analyzed Client's financial statements, examining customer-wise revenue breakdown monthly, cost components, and operating expenses. This analysis provided valuable insights into the financial drivers of Client's business and uncover areas for improvement or optimization.SaaS KPI Analysis
Our team identified relevant SaaS KPIs that align with Client's business. Some of these metrics included Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), Churn Rate, and other industry-specific performance indicators.
